Grain
Building muscle, losing fat or following your dietitian's numbers: Grain works the same for all of them. You set the targets; Grain logs what you eat and compares, without suggesting or judging. Going over is not painted red and hitting it is not green — the bar fills in its colour and the figure says "+12 g". Over 4,000 foods from the CIQUAL and BEDCA tables ship inside the app and work offline.

What it does
One job, done well.
- 01 / LOG
The way you would say it
Type "2 eggs, 60 g toast, 10 g olive oil" and Grain splits the foods and suggests the grams, with the values from the tables; you check it before it is logged. Or search, scan a barcode (Open Food Facts), build a recipe and log it by its cooked weight, or add the macros by hand. Usual servings are already set, and any food that does not match its pack can be corrected.

The label, on your iPhone
With Grain Pro, point the camera at the nutrition table, or pick a photo, and the per-100 g values fill themselves in. It is read on the device; nothing leaves the phone.

How your weeks add up
Each meal adds up next to its name, and the day shows what is left of the energy and each macro. Grain Pro adds history over seven, thirty or ninety days, averaging only the days you logged — and saying so — plus widgets and Apple Health; a one-time purchase, with a free 30-day trial. No streaks, no weight.
Privacy
Yours, not ours.
Grain keeps your diary on your device and in your own iCloud account. From a barcode only the number leaves, to Open Food Facts, unless you choose to send a product to it. Apple Health is written only if you switch it on, and never read. No account, no analytics.
